RCC ENEWS Anniversary Edition

Come celebrate RCC's 26th Anniversary on Sunday, June 27!

This Sunday, we will be combining the First Word (8:30) and Overflow (10:00) services into one Anniversary Celebration at 10:00 a.m. Children in grades 1-5 will gather in the Life Center Cafeteria for Living Inside Out while ages 5 and under will meet in their regular classes. Following the service, we will host an old-fashioned, church-wide picnic on the grounds. We'll be grilling hot dogs and hamburgers and serving chips and plenty of cold drinks on the side. We're asking all of our friends and regular attenders to bring a favorite dessert...enough to feed your family and a few more sweet-toothed friends. Also, we would like to encourage you to dress down this Sunday, since it will be hot outside and we'll be enjoying some messy games and water activities at the picnic.

Some of the fun activities we'll be enjoying together include:

100 person egg toss horseshoes limbo tug-of-war bocce ball

slip-n-slide (for younger kids) dunking booth

Items You Might Want to Bring...

Picnic blanket, outdoor chairs

Frisbees, footballs, other outdoor games

Sunscreen, towel (for water activities)

Extra bottled water or drinks for your family

Barefoot Sunday is Here!

Do you have shoes you do not wear?

Do they sit in your closet taking up space?

Donate them to someone in desperate need of shoes!

This Sunday, we will be collecting shoes for Share Our Shoes, a local organization that collects and distributes shoes to those in need both locally and in other areas such as Haiti and, more recently, in Nashville.

Donate your new or gently worn shoes or athletic footwear (cleats, soccer, football). Any type shoe is helpful! Please rubberband or tie the pairs of shoes together. Drop-off boxes will be located outside the doors of the Worship Center and the Life Center buildings.

We will also be accepting monetary donations for Share Our Shoes to help cover shipping costs of the shoes. The suggested donation is $1 per pair. Checks written for donations should be made out to RCC with a designation for Share Our Shoes.
